Berlin, Germany

I arrived in Berlin around 4 PM. I wasn't planning on seeing Berlin this trip, I was just going to go straight to Prague, but it was going to be a much longer trip to Prague than I thought so I figured I'd stop off for a night. Which turned out to be two nights, and I was thankful I did!

I stayed at a very nice hotel near the main train station (Hotel Hardenburg). It was a little more than I wanted to pay, but it was worth it, and conveniently close to the station. I was still recovering from the days of wedding partying and I didn't feel like dealing with hostels just yet.

The hotel was close to this monument which was built around what was left of a bombed out church during WWII.

I planned to go to bed early, but I ended up roaming the city all night. Being drawn on and on by the lights in the distance of small street cafes. As appealing as they looked, however, I couldn't get myself to eat or drink anymore. I walked on finding lots of great, sparsely populated places. I made a note to myself to return the following night.
