Krakow My last full day in Krakow I finally got a chance to visit the Wawel (castle). Here I paid for a private tour. It was well worth it and I learned a lot! Do I remember any of it?... Not so much. At this time I had started reading James A. Michener's "Poland". A great, and very long, novel about the history of Poland. And it fit in well with the tour of the Wawel. It would take me the rest of my time in Poland to finish the book. However, I added several places to my itinerary due to them being discussed in this book.
