Each night in Krakow I was doing my job exploring the subterranean
bars. I would pass by them during the day and take a picture
of the entrance. Then use the picture to find it again
at night. This was the easiest way to find them again.
The night of my largest quest for cool bars was a Tuesday
and most were devoid of people. So I would walk
into the place, cruise around like I work there and I'm
looking for empty glasses to collect, and then walk out.
I didn't catch the names of all of them, but here's a few
places I liked:
Moliere seemed a bit stuck up, but really neat spaces
with each room decorated very differently.
Restauracja was the sign facing the square, but I'm not
sure that has anything to do with the name of the jazz
club through the
small door and below.
Metropolitan Restaurant & Bar was where I had dinner. Food
was excellent, but the atmosphere was more like an upscale
American chain restaurant. I recommend it if you are in the mood for Italian,
but I had to sit next to this Texan trying to sell a Polish
businessman on joining him in a venture of selling Franklin
Mint types of trash collectibles.
Prozak was a great dance club/bar. A dance club
where you can actually hang out at too!
Akropolis had good and very cheap Greek food
buffet style. Easy to order by just pointing.
Jazz Club U Muniaka is pictured here were I hung out my last night in
town. In fact I hung out too late so I missed the last
tram home.
